Key Responsibilities:

To supervise the GIZ project team in implementation of commodities and cash based programs. Ensure that activities are implemented as per the standards and project requirement in order to provide best possible beneficiary services.

Support in the Project Implementation

  • Identify and target beneficiaries including data gathering and management;
  • Design/develop, test, maintain, support and improve the database and database management systems for the project
  • Conduct data cleaning and entry including maintenance of the data base;
  • Follow up on the running of the daily livelihood project activities including services providers.
  • Conduct the market assessment in targeted villages;
  • Assist the registration process;
  • Deliver high quality, accurate and timely daily reports;
  • File all relevant project documents in line with WV’s requirements for project auditing;
  • Support in the donor and partner visits
  • Support actions to address beneficiary feedback;
  • Deal with beneficiaries’ information in strict confidentiality.

Perform other duties as required

  • Attend Program and MEAL related meetings within WVL, and with the sector, donors, and local authorities as needed.
  • Attend and participate in capacity building trainings locally and internationally.
  • Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture and other organizational events.
  • Act responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture.
  • Report Child Protection (CP) incidents as per the safeguarding policy guidelines.
  • Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager.

Knowledge/Qualification for this role

  • 1-2 years' experience in NGOs
  • Able to use a computer, with word-processing (e.g. Microsoft Office) and spreadsheets, internet and e-mail.
  • Experience in data gathering at household level and focus group discussions;
  • Bachelor degree or any equivalent degree.
  • Experience in site supervision and management
  • Experience in data gathering and analysis
  • Has strong knowledge of core principles of Children Rights, Participation, Do No Harm, as well as children in Emergencies minimum standards.
  • Good understanding of sphere relief standards.
