About Rural Entrepreneurs: Rural Entrepreneurs is a non-profit organization initiated in 2015 in Shouf, Mount Lebanon, in response to the growing concerns about youth and women's unemployment and marginalization in rural areas. The organization was officially cofounded later on by a group of Lebanese entrepreneurs and professionals who believe in the value of investing in human capital and are committed to sharing their knowledge and experience to prepare youth and women to progress in their careers and become business leaders.

 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection, and evaluation procedures.
  • Monitor project activities, expenditures, and progress towards achieving the project output;
  • Recommend further improvement of the logical framework;
  • Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
  • Monitor the sustainability of the project's results;
  • Provide feedback to the Project Manager on project strategies and activities;
  • Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project;
  • Report on all project activities;
  • Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project;

Additional duties and responsibilities 

  • Actively participate in all training sessions as directed by management including SEA-related training sessions and awareness-raising efforts
  • Uphold the code of conduct, Child Protection Policy, and all RE policies
  • Support for dissemination of PSEA materials
  • Report in good faith all potential allegations of SEA (even if not evidenced) through the Child Protection Focal Point. 
  • When requested participate in investigations of possible SEA allegations
  • Conduct screening for past SEA violations, and other code of conduct and policy violations (e.g. fraud, corruption, abuse of power), as part of recruitment process
  • Ensure all personnel sign the organization’s Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policy
  • Integrate a PSEA clause in contract agreements, including when subcontracting
  • Support communication with personnel during investigation of SEA allegations
  • Keep PSEA-related documents of personnel on file, including signed codes of conduct and child protection policy. 
  • Coordinate with other staff of the project
  • Other tasks as directed by the Project Manager  

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in economics, statistics, finance, mathematics, or any other related field. 
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the area of M&E and/or working in the humanitarian field.
  • Experience in developing assessment tools (e.g. questionnaires, focus group discussions).
  • Experience and knowledge in developing and managing databases.
  • Fluency in English is required, written and oral.
  • Ability to write clear and well-argued reports.
  • Ability to work independently, organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, delegate work, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks, and maintain attention to details.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment with a multi-national staff.
  • A high degree of personal initiative with the desire and ability to meet aggressive programmatic goals.
  • Strong analytical skills and objective judgments.
  • Availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally
