Job Summary

Warchée is currently seeking a Carpenter to join the team, primarily based in the Tripoli workshop. This role involves playing a crucial part in constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of wood and other materials. The Carpenter will work closely with our team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

Main Tasks and Duties:

  • Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, which encompass but are not limited to activities such as framing, formwork, finishing, and general construction.
  • Execute these tasks with precision and craftsmanship to ensure the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of the final product.
  • Proficiently read and comprehend sketches, and construction plans to gain a clear understanding of project requirements and specifications.
  • Apply this understanding to accurately plan and execute carpentry tasks, aligning with the project's design and layout.
  • Responsibly choose and source materials that are suitable for each project, taking into account factors such as project size, budget constraints, and sustainability.
  • Strive for efficiency and cost-effectiveness in material procurement while ensuring they meet the required quality standards.
  • Take precise measurements of materials and spaces to guarantee a perfect fit and alignment of components.
  • Utilize advanced cutting techniques and tools to cut materials accurately, minimizing wastage and errors.
  • Assemble these cut components meticulously to meet the exact specifications outlined in the project plans.
  • Prioritize safety at all times by adhering to established safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Maintain a vigilant approach to risk assessment, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and fellow team members.
  • Regularly inspect, maintain, and calibrate tools and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
  • Report any issues or malfunctions promptly to the appropriate personnel for necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of finished carpentry products to ensure they meet the highest quality standards and adhere to project requirements.
  • Address any defects or deviations promptly to maintain the project's integrity and quality.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with team members, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project coordination.
  • Share insights and expertise to contribute to the successful achievement of project goals.
  • Proactively identify and resolve challenges and issues that may arise during construction.
  • Adapt to changes in project scope or conditions, applying creative problem-solving skills to maintain project progress.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all work performed, including detailed documentation of materials used, time spent, and project milestones.
  • Ensure documentation is readily available for project evaluation, reporting, and future reference as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Carpentry certification or apprenticeship.
  • Additional certifications in safety or related fields.
  • Experience with various types of carpentry projects, such as residential, commercial, or custom carpentry.
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter in a construction or renovation setting.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Remuneration and Duration

  • Full-Time Job : 5 days per week
  • Salary range is 1200-1400 USD
  • Duration: for one year renewable
