Programme Development and Reporting Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated Programme Development and Reporting Intern to join our organization. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of strategic programs, with a specific focus on the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). The successful candidate will be involved in various tasks related to strategic planning, concept development, context analysis, and reporting. This internship presents an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to gain hands-on experience in international development and contribute to meaningful initiatives in the MENA region.

 

2. Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Assist in the formulation and implementation of strategic plans for programs in the MENA region. Collaborate with senior staff members to identify key focus areas and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Concept Development: Contribute to the development of innovative project concepts and proposals that address the unique challenges and opportunities in the MENA region. Conduct research and analysis to identify potential project ideas and areas for intervention.
  • Context Analysis: Conduct thorough research on the socio-political, economic, and cultural context of the MENA region. Analyze data and information to identify emerging trends, needs, and gaps that can inform program design.
  • Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement: Support in building new partnerships and maintaining relationships with relevant Civil Society organizations, stakeholders, and local organizations in the MENA region. Collaborate with them to ensure effective program implementation and coordination.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Assist in designing monitoring and evaluation frameworks for program activities. Collect, analyze, and report on program data to measure progress and impact.
  • Knowledge Management: Contribute to the organization's knowledge management efforts by documenting best practices, lessons learned, and success stories related to program development and implementation in the MENA region.
  • Report Writing: Assist in preparing clear, concise, and compelling reports on program activities, outcomes, and impact. Ensure that reports are delivered in a timely manner and meet the requirements of NPA, donors and partners.

 

3. Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong interest in the MENA region with a minimum of basic knowledge including its political, economic, and social dynamics.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively, contributing to the development of innovative program concepts.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare clear and persuasive reports.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of French or other languages is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, desirable proficiency in other office related organizational tools (Miro, Monday, Asana, etc.)
  • Prior knowledge of strategic planning, programme development or international policy is desirable but not mandatory.

 

4. Duration and Remuneration: The internship will be for a duration of 3 months (renewable) The intern will be provided with transportation compensation for the duration of the internship.

 

5. Reporting and Supervision: The Programme Development and Reporting Intern will report directly to Programme Development and Reporting Advisor.

 

6. Location: The internship will be conducted at NPA Beirut Officer with NO possibility of remote work.
