DESCRIPTION:
The Popular Aid for Relief and Development (PARD) is an independent grassroots organization working on gender equality and women’s empowerment, child protection, youth empowerment, environmental health, and relief for people in distress among Palestinian and Lebanese communities and refugees from Syria.
PARD is committed to fulfilling child rights in protection against abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence as contained in the United Nations Convention on Child Rights and other human rights agreements.
Job Purpose: Support the implementation of the child protection project and education plans for refugee children in cooperation with teachers in Borj El Shimali Kindergarten.The project will start on the 1st of October 2023.
Responsibilities:
- Support PARD’s scope of work, team, aims, beneficiaries, and objectives
- Assist teachers in the implementation of their lesson plan
- Suggest educational activities as part of the teachers’ lesson plan
- Support children with critical cases in classes
- Refer children who are suspected to have a special case
- Document children’s attendance
- Maintain class order and organization
- Ensure the safety of children while being in class
- Submit monthly timesheets to the Project Coordinator
- Participate in all relevant meetings and capacity-building programs
- Understand and comply with the Child Protection and PSEA Policy
Requirements:
- BA in education, preschool education, social sciences, or another related field- or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of experience in child education, preferably ECE
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent Arabic and English Language
