Background

The Forum for Development, Culture, and Dialogue (FDCD) is a Beirut-based NGO working towards an enlightened Arab World, where political views, ethnicities and religions are incorporated into a richly diverse culture of peace and dialogue, respecting and promoting the human rights of all citizens. FDCD has extensive experience in implementing large-scale projects in the region focusing on citizenship and dialogue, in coordination with national and international organizations and institutions. While the challenges these projects address differ, each enacts strategies to build the capacities of local institutions and individuals to effect change in their communities. FDCD established trust and built networks which promote a common understanding between religious and ethnic groups. FDCD works with these networks to act directly and effectively in local communities and at the national level.

Dialogue for Change and Transformation (DCT) is a program by FDCD and Danmission, which targets the MENA region and aims at promoting culture of peace and equity, better understanding, appreciation, and genuinely equal citizenship, as well as contributing to cohesive societies in the MENA region that are characterized by cooperation between religious groups and understanding of "the religious other"with a focus on including more women and youth. 

Objective

As part of the DCT project, FDCD is producing six (6) video-based podcast episodes (40 to 60 minutes), in Arabic including a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 4 in one episode. We are seeking to recruit a Production House to support in the technical part. The project we envision, aims to create a captivating and thought-provoking podcast series centered around the pressing issues faced by our society today and religion. Through this podcast, we seek to raise awareness, foster empathy, and catalyze meaningful action within our audience.

Required Scope of Work

• Work closely with our team at FDCD and Danmission (Beirut Office) to refine and develop podcast episodes that align with our target audience.
• Coordinate with Host/Moderator and panelists.
• Logistical planning to ensure smooth podcast production.
• Provide cutting edge visual equipment as well as expertise in visual direction, videography, and lighting, to ensure excellent image quality, whether through in person sessions and/or hybrid one.
• Provide cutting edge audio equipment as well as expertise in audio engineering, sound editing and mixing, to ensure excellent audio quality, whether through in person sessions and/or hybrid one.
• Provide post-production services, such as intro/outro, music, transitions, subtitling and other audio/visual elements.
• Provide fully edited and finalized episodes in the required format.

Expected Background and Experience

Interested Production Houses must submit the following documents to demonstrate their qualifications:

• Advertising and Production house’s detailed information.
• A copy of the legal and tax Production House’s registration.
• Advertising and Production house portfolio highlighting previous work experience.
• Detailed list with technical information on the equipment intended for use, including camera, light, sound, and editing software.
• Brief presentation of the team, with CVs and functional responsibilities of the key people to be engaged in the production.
• Contact information for at least three references from previous clients.
• A separate financial offer in US dollars (detailed breakdown of all estimated costs and clear total cost for the final product).

Intellectual Property and Rights

• Ownership and rights related to the podcast are for FDCD and cannot be used in anyway without FDCD’s written authorization.
