Financial Accountant - Beqaa

Job Purpose:

Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and providing financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyses financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Conduct periodic audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and identify discrepancies.
• Monitor and manage organization expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize financial efficiency.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning and decision-making.
• Provide insightful financial analysis for investment projects, cost-benefit analysis, and financial modelling.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, financial regulations and The National Social Security Fund (NSSF)
• Prepare financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Participate in financial audits and coordinate with auditors to provide necessary documentation.

• Experience in applying the NGO financial policies (Preferred)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 
• Minimum of 6 years working experience as an Accountant and Financial Analyst
• Knowledge of Lebanese tax laws and NSSF regulations.
• Proficiency in financial accounting software and tools, as well as general accounting principles and practices.
• Strong understanding of financial statements preparation, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Experience with financial reporting, financial analysis, and financial modelling.
• Strong analytical skills to analyses financial data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights for decision-making.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records and reports.
• Ability to conduct financial audits and identify discrepancies or errors.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines, especially during Day-end, month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or CMA are (preferred)
