1. The Organization:

he Lebanese Social Enterprises Association (LSE) is a leading organization and network dedicated to the promotion and support of social enterprises across Lebanon. As part of a global network of social enterprise networks, LSE works closely with social entrepreneurs, government bodies, NGOs, and international organizations to build capacity, promote best practices, and enhance the visibility of social enterprises in Lebanon. Our mission is to create a vibrant ecosystem that drives innovation, sustainability, and social impact.

2. Purpose of the Position:

SE's strategic growth plan is focused on expanding our impact and ensuring the sustainability of social enterprises in Lebanon. Through partnerships and collaborations, LSE aims to enhance the capacity of social enterprises. We are therefore, seeking a dedicated and dynamic Partnerships Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships that advance the goals and mission of LSE. The Partnerships Officer will play a crucial role in achieving LSE’s growth goals by leveraging the recent UN resolution adopted on April 18,2023, promoting the social and solidarity economy for sustainable development. The Partnerships Officer will help expand LSE’s network, securing resources, and sustaining collaborations that align with our objectives.

3. Main Responsibilities:

  • Research, identify and engage with potential new partners and stakeholders, including other NGOs, INGOs, educational institutions, foundations, donors, companies and public institutions.
  • Identify, write, and submit high-quality proposals and grant applications to secure funding from diverse sources.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Check websites and emails from different sources (Daleel madani, EU….) and consolidate opportunities from grants and tenders for all LSE members.
  • Attend sectors and clusters meetings of the networks LSE members are part of (such as livelihood, food, LHDF, 3RF, GCNL…) with potential and existing partners, and effectively communicate the organization's mission, values, and services, build connections with stakeholders, and prepare minutes of meetings and reports for management. Many of these meetings are live in different regions of Lebanon, while some of the meetings are online.
  • Prepare emails for LSE members with the minutes of meetings, opportunities (funding, partnerships, capacity building, sales…), contact info of persons met during the event or meeting. The emails are to be shared with all LSE members for transparency and equal opportunities.

4. Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, or related field.

Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in role related to partnership development, communication, fundraising, business development, NGOs fields or a related field.

Proposal writing skills.

Proven track record in establishing and managing partnerships.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

Strong reporting and documentations skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Fluency in Arabic and English; French is a plus.

Car availability is required.
