Responsibilities

Main Task:

The Social Worker will be in charge of meeting with beneficiaries and conducting validation assessment with the aim of providing food security, WASH and protection services.

Detailed Tasks:

  • He/she is responsible of conducting home visits and field visits to outreach and identify eligible Households for the project activities.
  • He/she conducts HH’s validation assessment to assess their level of vulnerability.
  • He/she refers beneficiaries to other service providers or FRPD programs.
  • He/she ensures the proper collection and documentation of the collected data and documents (IDs, disability card, UNHCR registration certificate…).
  • He/she takes an active role during the distribution process.
  • He/she fills daily, weekly and monthly monitoring tools.
  • He/she submits weekly and monthly reports entailing qualitative and quantitative information.
  • He/she supports the M&E Officer in conducting FGDs and PDMs.

The responsibilities and tasks set out above are not comprehensive and the social worker may be required to perform additional tasks as needed according to the structure of the project and what is asked by the project officer or project manager.

 

Skills and knowledges:

  • Experience in Humanitarian service provision with knowledge in protection and gender in emergencies and sector standards such as the IASC standards, do no harm, Humanitarian Principles, and the Code of Conduct.
  • Deep knowledge of SDGs, CRPD and Law 220/2000.
  • Understanding of Lebanon’s political, legal, and social systems as related to Protection, GBV and refugee protection as well demonstrated experience in working and collaborating with civil society.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong internal relationships and networks.
