MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Activities

  • Provide listening, support and counseling services to all Lebanese beneficiaries
  • Fill a social file for each beneficiary and integrate all related information on the system
  • Refer beneficiaries internally (within the project or within the center as required) and/or to relevant NGOs and/or service providers when needed
  • Conduct home visits to assess the needs of the House Hold and to insure the adequate social follow up
  • Conduct field visits depending on the follow-up to be provided to each beneficiary (hospitals, schools…)
  • Conduct working groups with different beneficiary categories (women, men, children, elderly, PWD…)
  • Accompany beneficiaries during various activities (personal development, awareness raising, recreational, other…)
  • Ensure proper follow up on all actions to be considered for individual/family/group cases till achieving desired results
  • Report to the Head of Social Department the critical cases for final approval on the actions to be taken
  • Prepare monthly progress reports on cases of beneficiaries and on activities implemented
  • Update weekly the beneficiaries list
  • Participate in training, conferences and attend meetings
  • Assess, plan and implement activities in coordination with the Head of Department
  • Coordinate/inform the Head of Sector and Sector’s Bureau of all planned and ongoing Social Activities
  • Coordinate with other partners/stakeholders in the regions working with Lebanese to avoid duplication and provide better services
  • Work occasionally on weekends and/or afternoons/evenings to attend Bureau meetings, community events or to organize activities for various Lebanese beneficiaries
  • Participate in the organization and the implementation of the Yearly Lent Campaign
  • Assist the Youth when needed in preparing/organizing their activities
  • Assist the Medical, Education and Socio-Economic Development Departments in tasks directly related to the Beneficiaries
  • Support occasionally/upon necessity in administrative and secretarial functions
  • Responsible of reflecting the proper image of CARITAS through behavior and action
  • Supports when necessary in providing visibility material

Generic Duties

  • Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures
  • Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc.
  • Complete schedules, activity planners, monitor staff availability and act against any shortfalls
  • Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to the related manager
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Academic:

Bachelor Degree in Social Work

Related Work Experience:
