TEC is seeking a strategic, and value-driven full-time " Youth Employment Support Program Coordinator" to serve as an integral part of the Job Matching and Intrapreneurship Program focused on building the capacity of young Tripolitans and matching them with the right opportunity. 

The program is youth empowerment and market readiness with a special focus on the jobs in the digital sectors. It is highly relevant to the global trend of the job market, the main sectors supported are; digital marketing, research and development, business development, social media management, web development, and product design. 

The Candidate role is mainly focused on managing and coordinating with a community of job seekers or career shifters that are searching for training, internship, freelance, or job opportunities. The candidate is also responsible for creating and maintaining a network of businesses and opportunities providers in the city. 

A community approach is critical for the success of this role, being creative about how to match people and how to identify opportunities is highly encouraged. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

1) Planning, Coordinating, Documenting & Reporting

Developing & Maintaining activities plan 

Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective

Communicating targets required and targets met Reporting on a monthly basis for the team & preparing key takeaways for social media posts

Following up with the individuals on the attendance and reporting

Coordinating with the operations team for contracts & payments

Develop with the programs and leadership teams tools to verify and validate the quality and the impact of the interventions and actions taken. 

 

 

2) Coordinating for the matching process

Organizing the current data of individuals & opportunities providers 

Setting a plan to reach the monthly target of job match/opportunity match

Coordinating with individuals and opportunities providers

Communicating the different types of career options for individuals and to understand the skills needed for an opportunity. 

Developing a bi-weekly plan for follow-ups with all stakeholders involved in the matching process

Suggesting new tools/approaches to achieve the monthly targets

Documenting the challenges faced on the ground and call for support from the internal team in case needed to work on a solution 

Field visits to make a better connection with the workplace 

 

3) Following up after the matching take place

Setting a plan for following up with both parties involved

Field visits to collect more data about the work environment and the satisfaction of both parties

Documenting any changes happened

Following up on the Job Creation KPI

 

4) Other essential tasks 

Keeping youth engaged and active in the community 

Supporting the team in planning and organizing events that have aligned objectives

Supporting the team with outreach activities and speaking about the different career options
