Intent to Bid - WS438153393 - Freelance content development

Mercy Corps is looking for a service provider (pedagogical and technical consultant) who will be responsible for 1) developing the curriculum and content of the Freelance Talent Development and Apprenticeship module, It is to be noted that the curriculum needs to be adjustable for both online and offline formats. And/or 2) to advise MC team on the process of coming up with the best modality and framework for an online e-learning series suitable for distance and self-paced learning and that can be integrated to existing or new websites, like LMS system.

 

Main tasks require from the service provider: (more details on the tasks required will be followed in the SOW)

 

Freelance Talent Development Content: The service provider is expected to build on the existing material and improve/develop a comprehensive and holistic curriculum that integrates both the Freelance Online Platforms and Freelance Soft Skills. It will be used as reference and a formalized teaching material for the masters and trainers in the academy, in addition to serving as a handbook for participants

Deliverables

  • Curriculum Content (for both categories - refer to point 2.A.) covering at least 6 online topics (2 hours each) and 4 offline workshops (6 hours each).
  • Handbook content for participants reflecting the curriculum content, to be used by the freelancers. 
  • PowerPoint Presentation in English (for both categories- refer to point 2.A.) adjustable for both online and offline as per the curriculum content, to be used by the trainer. 
  • Pre and Post- tests reflecting the topics covered in the curriculum. 
  • Onboarding documents (different contract templates, pricing list, bills, bidding templates, others if needed)

Apprenticeship module Content: The service provider is expected to build on the existing material and develop a comprehensive curriculum tailored for this component covering the following digital sector (graphic design, architecture, translation, digital marketing, web developing, etc..), the aim is to build apprentices portfolios and introduce them to online freelance platforms. It will be used as reference material for the master trainers and trainers in the academy, in addition to serving as a handbook for participants.

Deliverables:

  • Curriculum Content covering at least 8 online topics. 
  • Handbook content for participants reflecting the curriculum content, to be used by the freelancers.
  • PowerPoint Presentation in English as per the curriculum content, to be used by the trainer. 
  • Pre and Post- tests reflecting the topics covered in the curriculum. 
  • Onboarding documents (different contract templates, pricing list, bills, bidding templates, others if needed)
  • Prepare at least one assignment for each topic developed in the curriculum.

 

Online Learning Consultancy:

The objectives and outcomes of this E-learning is to create a flexible, innovative, modern approach and an easy to use freelance self–learning journey accessible for interested individuals. 

Deliverables: 

  • Rapid assessment to determine the need for an e-learning material (via content and via freelancers)
  • With the support of the team to develop a framework for the e-learning module 
  • To provide experts opinions, analysis and recommendations on the best modality to implement this module, base on the vision of this component and different modules we are implementing 
  • Develop the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of this module and identify stakeholders
