Terms of reference for a training session on management fundamentals for middle/intermediate managers.

ABOUT THE STRUCTURE of the INGO:

Solidarités International is an International NGO working with vulnerable populations, mainly victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters. Specialized for nearly 40 years in the coverage of vital needs, S.I. takes charge of emergency and reconstruction programs.

With respect for cultures and close to the people, Solidarités International implements its programs by combining its skills with those of its employees and local managers.

Solidarités International's teams, made up of around 270 expatriates and nearly 2200 local employees, are today present in 18 countries in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Caribbean where they are particularly committed to fighting diseases related to unsafe water but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods.

 

1. Objectives of the Training

  • Provide SI intermediate/middle managers with management fundamentals
  • Self-assessment tools, in order to bring attendees to reflect on their own effectiveness/weaknesses as a manager and as a subordinate
  • Better understanding by the attendees of their tendency as manager and as subordinate.
  • Open floor / brain storming on the middle manager position / stakes and difficulties / experience sharing
  • Enhance their ability of communicating effectively / being constructive / avoid conflict
  • How to lead a constructive and efficient Appraisal

 

2. Methodology

The methodology will include:

  • Play role
  • Case studies
  • Coaching approach
  • Top down lesson about transactional analysis and different managerial approach
  • Group work

 

3. Duration and dates

  • 2 days of face to face training
  • 9am to 5.30 pm, with one-hour break
  • End of November 2021 or mid December 2021

5. Profile

  • Training and qualifications:

Ideally ( but not limited to )  training engineering and/or psychology, sociology of organizations, HR, coaching.

 

  • Specific professional experience:

Experience in theatre, role play, deep knowledge of the humanitarian sector, proven experience in training for professional

 

  • Languages: English and Arabic

  • A technical offer with:

- Understanding of the challenges of the training, linked to the challenges of the sector

- The methodology and tools proposed for every session + pedagogic objectives of every session

- Proposal planning with the different session for the 2 days

- The training must be implemented between nov the 22nd and December the 17th

 

  • A financial offer including a budget with detailed sections (fees, other costs)
  • An updated CV of the trainer
  • References / copies of similar contract with NGOs
