Education field Officer

Key Responsibilities,

• Plan and implement education activities: need analysis, focus group discussions, and any other outreach and field activities.
• Have a clear idea about education activities that other institutions working in the same area are carrying out with displaced Syrians.
• Work with staff (Outreach team, Education team) individually to create learning plans (monthly and weekly).
• Communicate emerging educational and CP issues to the project manager on an ongoing basis, and submit regular monitoring report summarizing the updates in the centers, schools and field levels.
• Identify safety issues and follow-up with the project manager on the safety and security of the chosen location.
• Identify children requiring case management and ensure safe referral to case management agencies or service providers.
• Be aware of referral mechanisms in collaboration with other NGOs and ODA Managers.
• Organize awareness sessions for children and parents including CBPSS and Positive parenting, with making sure that the curriculum will be done as the recommendation of the donor and ODA.
• Documenting and archiving all the documents needed (dataset of the pre-posttest, attendance sheets…etc.), Responsible of maintaining the archiving system up to date (both in hardcopies and electronically).
• Visiting the centers regularly and coordinating with the other staffs to make a smooth scope of work.
• Identifying local interest and up to date needs, in addition to how to meet them.
• Report weekly & monthly on activities and results to Education Field Coordinator in the area.
• Attend all meetings as required, both individual and group. Identify and attend meetings, conferences, and trainings which relate to job description and promote professional development.
• Perform any other task assigned by ODA managements.

Qualifications and Competences
Academic and Professional Qualifications

• University degree in Education/ Development related field/ Psycho-social studies or Sociology required.

Relevant Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a busy organization.

• Knowledge & relevant experience in child protection issues.
• Experience in designing & facilitating training programs
• Experience in participatory programs.
• Has worked in emergency response or with marginalized communities

• Experience in community sensitization/ mobilization.
