Description: 

The Community Empowerment and Livelihoods Officer will undertake functions as mentioned below:

  • Identify potential livelihood activities based on market and livelihood assessments.
  • Coordinate the timely implementation of community empowerment and livelihood activities in his/her AoR.
  • Supervise and Conduct FGDs with beneficiaries and different stakeholders to assess the POC interests and needs
  • Design and analyse the need assessments phase with host and refugee communities including municipalities, community representatives and youth (maintaining gender balance)
  • Follow up with and support the committee and different stakeholders to mobilize resources for the communal projects
  • Ensure proper monitoring during the different stages of Community Support Projects implementation
  • Ensure involvement and participation of local and refugee communities in the project
  • Provide administrative and logistical support during the implementation of the project
  • Prepare and ensure follow up on all documents, contracts and payments for CSPs in the area of intervention
  • Support the project coordinator in the capacity building activities for key change agents on conflict mitigation mechanism and negotiation
  • Organize and ensure a timely, proper written weekly/monthly reporting and report daily if needed on problems faced;
  • Any other duty related to the nature of the job as directed by the line manager
