Psychosocial Support For Detainees And Their Families

In cooperation with the Ministry of Administrative Development and in collaboration with the European Union, Restart Center has launched

Overall Objectives: 
To improve the legal and psychological status of detainees and their families To urge local and judicial authorities and Human Rights activists towards supporting the prisoners issue.
Activities: 
- To provide a psychological intervention that aims at improving the detainee psychological status and providing him with a psychologist follow-up. - To provide a social intervention that aims at improving the relationship between the detainee and his family and enhancing the communication process between the detainee and the world outside the prison. - To provide a legal intervention that aims at facilitating the legal procedures and producing legal back-up when needed. - To establish inside Al Kebba prison a library for detainees to benefit from. - To meet the basic needs of the targeted group of detainees. - To train Human Rights activists, governmental and non-governmental institutions, court officers, police officers, and lawyers.
