Child Protection Animator - Beirut

This Finance Officer post is for a MAP partner NGO, General Union for Palestinian Women (GUPW), in the fame of the "Strengthening Community-Based Child Protection, Gender Based Violence interventions, and Psychosocial Support in Palestinian Camps and Gatherings in Lebanon" project supported by MAP and UNICEF. I.e. the post holder will not be directly employed by MAP.

The Deputy Field Coordinator ensures at base level the effective implementation of PU-AMI’s program in South, targeting the most vulnerable affected populations. S/he is also responsible for representation on technical topics by humanitarian stakeholders at local level and in charge of proper reporting to the donors supporting the Program implementation and activities.

The Deputy Field Coordinator ensures at base level the effective implementation of PU-AMI’s program in South, targeting the most vulnerable affected populations. S/he is also responsible for representation on technical topics by humanitarian stakeholders at local level and in charge of proper reporting to the donors supporting the Program implementation and activities.

The Referral Officer contributes to enhance the holistic assistance and response to targeted communities, being responsible for handling internal and external referrals, follow-up of those referrals and reinforces the network of partners in the area of intervention. S/he maintains an updated service mapping and shares information on available services to other departments.

The child clinical psychologist will ensure the provision of individual and group therapy sessions for children and referring to adequate services after seeking the consent of survivors.
The Psychologist will also ensure continuous guidance to SGBV and CP caseworkers.

The Psychologist works within the MHPSS team and in close collaboration with health and protection colleagues. The Psychologist offers direct care to host and refugee communities and provides supervision to the MOPH staff on targeted mental health services.
S/he supervises the development of individualized treatment plans, conducts focused individual and group counseling sessions for complicated cases when deemed necessary, provides technical support for the conduct of the psychosocial activities at community-level, contributes to on-the-job capacity building of the MoPH staff involved in MHP

Under the overall supervision of the Field Coordinator, technical supervision of MHPSS and Protection Coordinators, and the direct supervision of the Deputy Field Coordinator, the incumbent will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of the MHPSS, and outreach activities conducted by the PU-AMI MHPSS Team members (including a psychiatrist, psychologist, and social workers) with PHCC’s staff and in PHCCs or other detected priority areas.
