The UNICEF-funded “Dirasa Program" & “Makani Program” aims to create for out-of-school children, multiple pathways that are flexible and responsive to each child’s unique learning needs. The program will be implemented in private /semi-private schools, community centers and is estimated to target out of school children and Retention support for students who are already enrolled in schools.
Scope:
The role of the field officer is to coordinate the WL field-based team's daily activities and facilitate program implementation in a specific region while serving as a key contact for school-level activities. Collaborate with school staff and partners to enhance teaching and learning quality, support data collection and logistics, and conduct field visits and coaching sessions. Report on progress and challenges to the program coordinator, with additional tasks assigned by the project manager as needed.
Main Responsibilities
• Follow-up and coordinate WL field-based team day to day activities, support and facilitate the implementation of the program activities at the field level in a specific region
• Act as a focal point for various project activities at the school/center level
• Work closely with the partners- school observers to improve quality of teaching and learning in all programs.
• Collaborate with school staff (principals, teachers, and administrators) to facilitate learning and provide necessary support to improve the learning environment at the school. This includes Arabic and English Literacy or Arabic and French Literacy, math and numeracy, social emotional learning, data collection, data entry and verification, logistics, resources and teaching and learning materials (TLMs) distribution and dissemination.
• Conduct field visits as needed
• Conduct individual or group coaching sessions as needed
• Report with evidence to the program Coordinator on activities, progress, and challenges.
• Perform additional tasks as needed and requested by the project manager and the program coordinator, including support of other WL projects.

Required Qualifications
• 4 years and above working in a school setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in education and/or having a teaching diploma or relevant degree. Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Experience in providing coaching support.
• Excellent computer skills (outlook, excel, word, PowerPoint, video conferencing and online learning platforms)
• Excellent Arabic, and as a second language excellent French or English
• Commitment to work under pressure and to deliver within timelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledgeable of the community they live in and its geography and needs
• Able to transport easily within one governorate
• Assess challenges and make advised decision
• Capacity to prioritize and good planning skills
• Capacity to work with different group of people
