Regional Finance Business Partner, MENA - Part Time

Working as part of WFD’s corporate finance team and reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, the Regional Finance Business Partner (RFBP) position is responsible for; supporting effective financial management and reporting for regionally deployed programmes; control accounts management oversight; capacity development and the development of budgets and other financial components of business development projects for the region.

It is expected that the RFBP will spend the majority of their time interacting with programme staff both in London and in country offices to support budgeting, forecasting and providing regular finance reports. This will include monthly management accounts to support the Deputy Finance Director or Head of Finance in producing WFD-wide management reporting. They will also play a key role on the finance aspects of business development and work closely with the Global Finance Business Partner in some areas of joint delivery, such as forecasting and process review.

 

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA) or national/regional equivalent
  • Proven track record of professional financial business support to operational delivery teams (in an international organisation - desirable).  
  • Experience in a financial management and reporting role, preferably on donor funded programmes 
  • Experience of designing and working with budgets on a commercial contract basis as well as grant agreements
  • Proficient in the use of recognised financial accounting software (MS Dynamics Business Central preferable) 
  • Intermediate (minimum) to high level Microsoft Excel.
  • Team player and willing to contribute to overall team success.
  • Strong knowledge and practical understanding of management accounting principles and experience of engagement at different levels in the business, including ability to support, coach and build capacity in non-financial managers.  Adept at preparing high level financial information for finance colleagues and senior management.
  • Working level proficiency in English language and Arabic (reading, writing, speaking). Knowledge of French language is a plus.

Lebanon: SALARY: Circa $18,000 0.6 FTE gross p.a – the salary offer will be subject to skills and experience and the local salary market.   

Morocco: SALARY: Circa £15,000 0.6 FTE gross p.a (or equivalent in local currency) – the salary offer will be subject to skills and experience and the local salary market.
