Key Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Communication Strategy Development
- Develop and execute communication plans for our product, including messaging, positioning, and promotion across various communication channels, such as social media, public relations, and email marketing.
- Work closely with the product team to understand the product's features, benefits, and target audience, and then develop effective communication strategies to convey that information to customers and stakeholders.
Content and Media Strategy Development
- Develop and execute content and media strategies to support the communication goals for the product, including developing blog posts, articles, and other content, as well as managing media relations and generating media coverage.
- Oversee social media strategy and advertising, including content development, community management, and social media advertising, to increase visibility and engagement across social media channels.
- Coordinate and act as a focal point for content production, progress, and deadlines with designers, creatives, and volunteers.
- Develop and execute event marketing strategies to support product launches and promotions, including identifying relevant events, securing speaking opportunities, and coordinating event logistics.
- Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness.
- Support event management, production planning, and development of campaign activations.
- Ensure that all communication and content align with the brand guidelines and effectively represent the brand voice and values.
Public Relations and Collaborations
- Help coordinate PR initiatives and collaborations and build relationships with partners.
- Contribute to creating new lines of communication with influencers and the press.
- Maintain lines of communication with influencers, volunteers, and creative partners.
- Advise on outreach activities with press and other communication target groups.
Performance Analysis and Optimization
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust strategies as needed to optimize performance and achieve business goals.
- Support the product development team by identifying customer insights and feedback that inform product improvements and updates.
- Manage communication and marketing budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses, and ensuring that all spending aligns with business goals and priorities.
- Embrace a "hustle" culture and work collaboratively with the team to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, public relations, social media, or a related field.
- Proven experience developing and executing comprehensive communication plans across multiple channels.
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience developing a variety of content types, including blog posts, articles, and social media content.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with media relations and generating media coverage.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and advertising, including content development, community management, and social media advertising.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
