Key responsibilities: - Identify inmates who are at increased risk of severe illness due to COVID-19 (see annex 1 for a description) - Stabilize and/or improve the health conditions of inmates who are at increased risk of severe illness (take medical history and vital signs, ask about medications, refer to physician, follow up on any test done, follow up after hospitalization in case hospitalized, provide health education about current medical conditions, etc.) in line with the national essential health package of services - Conduct health screening of new inmates (following their quarantine in the building G) - Keep medical record up to date - Provide health communication and awareness to inmates and staff (i.e. information about personal preventive measures, how to access health services; in addition to other health topics such as mental health, HIV, etc.) - Assist in other health-related tasks The nurses are also expected to attend training days and induction as well as participate in relevant meetings as needed. Page | 2 Deliverables: - Deliverable 1: Provide health awareness sessions related to COVID-19 - Deliverable 2: Provide health assessment to new and existing inmates to identify those at risk for COVID-19 complications. - Deliverable 3: Ensure inmate education about their illness (if any) and the use of medications, as well as general education on sexually transmitted diseases, healthy lifestyle, etc. - Deliverable 4: Refer to medical, psychological and social services as needed and ensure needed follow-up. - Deliverable 5: Register health data on the inmates’ medical file, in collaboration with nurses of the prison (Internal Security Forces). - Deliverable 6: Monthly reporting on tasks and deliverables

Male is preferred, as this will allow visits on inmates in their cells when needed Experience required: Essential: A minimum of four years relevant work experience in nursing. Desirable: Previous working experience in prison setting is desirable. Skills / Technical skills and knowledge: - Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; - Computer Skills: Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Language requirements: Arabic (read, write, speak) English (read and write)
