Professional Podcast Production for Peacebuilding Project
Thread of Peace, commonly known as House of Peace started to form as a local initiative in 2012 but was officially registered in 2019. The organization was formed by a group of young people who were together searching for meaning and for a sense of belonging during a time of change. Their diverse backgrounds and common purpose made them a valuable team, giving humanitarian assistance to displaced people, hoping that the message of hope would spread through their diversity to contribute to building a better future. The “family” formed gradually grew and its mission persisted despite the fact that many of its founders have moved on. The “House of Peace” thrived as a virtual house holding an ever-expanding family with a humanitarian mission of promoting peace in society and advocating for conflict sensitivity.

EU-Project Description: A 3-Year Project
Weaving Social Peace is a community initiative that aims to foster social cohesion and lasting peace within and among Lebanon’s diverse communities, particularly in the Zahle and Western Beqaa regions. Through participatory, youth-driven, and change-oriented approaches, the project creates safe spaces for open dialogue where marginalized groups, especially young people and women, can share their voices and build mutual understanding. By empowering these groups to lead community dialogues and reconciliation efforts, the initiative breaks down barriers between different communities and encourages locally driven peace initiatives. The goal is to nurture mutual understanding, trust, and cooperation across diverse groups, laying the foundation for enduring social harmony in the region.
