- Develop and implement an outreach plan for the relief department that involves community awareness.
- Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
- Break the project into doable actions and set timeframes.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
- Make sure that the goals are met as the project evolves.
- Help prepare budgets.
- Analyze risks and opportunities.
- Oversee project procurement management.
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
- Work with the Project Manager using tools to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports. Ensure standards and requirements are met.
- Organize, attend, participate in meetings, and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Determine project changes, and ensure that projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately.
- Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
- Engage and educate the community by participating in community events and meetings and by making awareness sessions on the program and protection issues.
- Serve as a liaison to community partners and disseminate clear information about the project services directly to communities.
- Create a map on the available services that would benefit the community and disseminate information regarding those services.
- Ensure that safe identification and referrals are done with transparency and confidentiality efficiency to meet basic needs and provide access to needed services.
- Identify and pre-select volunteers in designated key areas to support project activities and coordinate with them to assist with outreach efforts.
- Draft reports as requested.
- Participate in all capacity-building trainings internally and externally and ensure that proper feedback is provided.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player who demonstrates leadership and is able to support and train staff, and able to work with disaster affected communities in a sensitive and participatory manner.
- Written and oral communication skills; able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders as a representative of SAWA. This includes effective negotiation and representation skills.
- Works with trustworthiness and integrity and has a clear commitment to SAWA’s core values and humanitarian principles.
- Ability to operate effectively under extreme circumstances including stress, high security risks and harsh living conditions. Works with a flexible, adaptable, and resilient manner.
- Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity. Has experience and the ability to work in diverse cultural contexts in an appropriate manner. Has the capacity to make accurate self-assessment particularly in high stress and high security contexts.
- Well-planned and organized even within a fluid working environment and has the capacity for initiative and decision-making with competent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge about SAWA’s policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
3-5 year of humanitarian relief aid experience.
- English Language and Microsoft excel, word skills are desirable.
