The Opportunity
As a member of the PDQ team, the Shelter and WASH Specialist will support the technical advisor in ensuring quality technical support for WASH & Shelter programming in SC Lebanon. This involves various tasks such as program implementation support, capacity development, curriculum analysis, and partnership management.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/construction/shelter-related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; French is an asset.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant technical experience, including 3 years in humanitarian shelter/WASH.
- 2 years of experience in capacity building design, management, and delivery.
- Advanced reporting, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of climate/DRR policies and Government of Lebanon procedures.
- Substantial emergency preparedness and response experience.
- Supervisory, training, and coaching abilities.
- Assessment, proposal writing, and project cycle management skills.
- Experience in developing and managing shelter & WASH projects in fragile contexts.
