Presentation: Permanent Peace Movement (PPM) is an independent Lebanese, non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 1989 at the height of the Lebanese civil war by a group of young university students unified by their common vision of the future and their aversion to war. They considered that the peaceful means for conflict resolution are the most useful of all, and once exhausted, one should resort to non-violent means and never to violence. Permanent Peace Movement (PPM) works on building peace in the local, national and international communities through spreading the culture of peace and transforming.

 

Permanent Peace Movement (PPM) is currently implementing a project entitled “Amn Al-Insani” in partnership with Un Ponte Per (UPP), in Aley and Chouf Districts. The project endeavors to improve communities’ safety and security in Mount Lebanon, promoting key actors’ understanding of human security and enabling the adoption of food security trends, increased advocacy efforts and community-based initiatives.

 

OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The objective of this Assignment is to Handle the social media platforms: Designing, planning, boosting and managing 4 media campaigns that promote our causes and subjects, as well as identifying trends.

 

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the overall supervision of the PPM Representative and in close collaboration with the UPP Project Manager, the Social Media and Communication Expert will:

• Conduct 4 media campaigns events in Chouf and Aley (Coach and train Farmers on the use of social media and for marketing)
• Design, build and maintain the social media platforms for the Project.
• Continuous management of the project’s social media platforms
• Develop social media Content.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Familiar with social media platforms, comfortable with best practices, asset specifications, restrictions and content guidelines.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, tight deadlines and changing priorities.
• Understand social media creative trends
• Effective and efficient communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related to media, journalism, communication or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with NGOs
