Description:

Orienthelfer e.V. is a non-profit organization founded in Germany, in 2012. The educational projects and training measures for young people promote positive prospects for work and equality. Additional emergency response projects mitigate acute emergencies. Most of the projects are currently located in Lebanon and Syria.

Orienthelfer e.V. plans the implementation of the project “Capacity strengthening of educational structures for Lebanese and refugee children with special needs in North Lebanon” in cooperation with the Lebanese association Wahat Al-Farah from 08/2022 – 09/2024.

Within the approval procedures, a feasibility study is required to be carried out through the services of a consultant or a consulting company. The purpose of the feasibility study is to assess the feasibility of the planned project in terms of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability. Moreover, the prerequisites, opportunities, and risks of the development of the project concept shall be identified. The study is also expected to assess the (draft) project proposal and logframe, provide baseline information and give recommendations for the project design to achieve project results. The study will have the primary focus on 2 professional areas:

1) education for children with mental disabilities and autism

2) construction of a school building

The study results will be used to develop a project proposal for submission to the public donor BMZ, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The study will have to be submitted as an annex to the proposal which is a funding requirement of BMZ.
