The Opportunity
Under the direct supervision of the MAKANI Project Coordinator, the Social and Behavioral Change (SBC) Officer will be responsible for implementing activities aimed at fostering social and behavioral change within the community. The primary focus of the SBC Officer is to ensure a strong and effective linkage between the community and the community center. This role is critical in enhancing community engagement, promoting positive behavioral changes, and ensuring that the community center's resources are utilized effectively to meet the community's needs.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- * Bachelor’s degree in social work, social sciences, or other related fields.
- * Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
- * Educational background in social science (sociology, social work, psychology, etc).
- * Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people, build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders.
- * Experience in working with local communities on right of refugee children and youth to education and inclusion of people with disabilities.
