Agricultural Consultant - North

1. Role and responsibilities

The Agricultural Consultant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day implementation of WAFRA program in North Lebanon, through supporting in carrying out quality technical assessments and technical follow-up, eligibility, and vulnerability assessments, field supervision and monitoring and reporting accordingly.

Generic responsibilities:

1. Monitor and report on the agricultural activities and ensure compliance with plans and NRC standards
2. Assists in preparing, implementing, and monitoring agricultural activities.
3. Carry out data collection as required.
4. Prepare and submit accurate drawings, reports and measurements (BoQs)
5. Ensures that all protection related detected cases are referred to the concerned referral focal point and to the related Protection Coordinator.

Specific responsibilities:

1. Assist in the Monitoring, supervision, and inspection of the quality of the work to ensure quality compliance with the technical specifications as specified in the Bill of quantities (BOQ), scope of works, drawings and design requirements.
2. Identify needs and propose scope of intervention (from the technical/engineering aspect) for the targeted agricultural lands.
3. Prepare accurate drawings and bill of quantities (BoQ) based on the technical assessment.
4. Follow-up on work plans, drawings, and quantities for proper activity implementation.
5. Submit daily, weekly, and monthly report and as requested by the supervisor.

2. Competencies

• Degree in Agriculture, architectural or engineering domain 
• Expericne in site monitoruing is a desired
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in agricultural activities
• Good in English, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office use (Excel, word, etc.….)
