Design Thinking and/or Business Development Trainer

The Nawaya Network is an NGO based in Beirut, Lebanon that develops the income-generating opportunities of youth through entrepreneurship, employability, and economic development programs.

We are seeking a Design Thinking and/or Business Development Trainer to fulfill the below tasks and responsibilities:

For Design Thinking Trainer and Business Development Trainer:

• Plans effectively and efficiently each session's objectives, designs the flow of the course, chooses interactive methods, tests output and evaluates the courses objectives and learning outcomes with the Field Manager oversight.
• Submits all financial and legal documents as requested by the Field Manager for a proper payment mechanism with the Finance Manager's oversight and Top Management approval.
• Manages and assesses youth/trainee progress and provides feedback regarding areas of improvement and development.
• Tracks and compiles training data including exit forms, attendance sheets and DT / BD scoresheets with the field officers' oversight.
• Attends actively the ToT for the training material development as will be organized and implemented by the Field Manager.
• Maintains an up-to-date and accurate record of youth progress and achievements on the DT and BD training sessions.
• Ensures the safety of participants by supervising and using safe methods at all times as communicated by the Nawaya Networks rules and regulations.
• Appreciates the youth/team efforts and interaction/engagement, and considers the wellbeing and progress of the participants.
• Reports violations observed towards beneficiaries through the Nawaya Network employee's channel and makes sure it is reported to the Field Manager who will immediately inform Top Management.
• Implements any additional tasks as communicated by Top Management ( Deputy Director and Founder)

Design Thinking Trainer:

• Delivers effectively and successfully the 3 hrs In Person DT Thinking Training for a total of 4 days
• Guides and helps youth to take big steps and test/trial ideas that can solve local challenges.
• Analyzes the business Idea proposed by the youth and assesses/recommends solutions for business idea optimization.
• Participates in taking decisions on selecting the business idea from DT to BD alongside the Field Officers by filling out the DT scoresheet.
• Ensures an effective implementation of the DT Training Material including SDGs , Climate change, Technology, Mental Health, Agriculture, Upcycling and Recycling skills, Education and any innovative business theme.
• Helps youth to be have a creative mind under the Design Thinking sessions while providing feedback and tangible examples

Business Development Trainer

• Delivers a 3 hours Online Business Development Training for a total of 8 days ( including Graduation day)
• Conducts complex analysis in order to find new market opportunities.
• Investigates existing products and services and compares them with competitors.
• Suggests measures for improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Prepares the youth for Marketing Skills and Strategy to sustain a business.
• Trains the youth to ensure a strong financial mindset with a 3 days financial bootcamp within the 8 days of BD training.
• Develops an appropriate and healthy working relationship with the youth and among other trainers based on mutual trust and respect.
• Helps youth to have a business mindset under the Business Development sessions while providing feedback and tangible examples.

Education:

Business degree, Management Degree, Social Sciences Degree. Masters is a plus.

Experience

Minimum 3 years working experience in preparing and conducting Training. He/she has a demonstrable understanding of Design Thinking and/or Business Development Training Material Work experience in a NGO is a plus.
