  1. Safety and Security Management:
    • Develop, implement, and update safety and security policies and procedures to safeguard organization personnel, property, and information and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Patrolling Organization’s centers and project sites all over Lebanon regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
    • Conduct regular safety and security inspections and risk assessments of the workplace, outdoor areas where programs are being implemented, transportation, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with department heads and center managers to develop and deliver safety training programs to employees.
    • Investigate and document safety incidents and near-miss events, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
    • Maintain safety and security records, including incident reports, training documentation, and safety-related statistics, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and external security service providers as necessary to ensure a coordinated and effective response to security incidents.
    • Monitor and control access to company facilities, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
    • Implement and manage security systems, such as CCTV, alarms, access control systems, and emergency response systems.
    • Provide recommendations for safety and security requirements in contracts with third parties like transportation services and monitor the implementation of such contracts.
    • Provide recommendations for mitigating risks and improving the overall safety and security posture of the organization.
    • Maintain a system for tracking and reporting security incidents,
    • Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and crisis situations, providing leadership and guidance to staff.

 

 

  1. Emergency Preparedness and Response:
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures, including evacuation plans, fire drills, and crisis management protocols.
    • Conduct periodic drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency response plans and prepare related reports.
    • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure adequate emergency supplies, equipment, and resources are available.
    • Provide guidance and training to employees on emergency response procedures.
    • Acts as the safety warden inside Mouvement Social organization.

 

 

  1. Security Networking and Liaison:
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local authorities, security agencies, and community leaders.
    • Participate in security coordination meetings, forums, and working groups to share information and collaborate on security-related issues.
    • Stay updated on local security dynamics and maintain a network of contacts to gather intelligence and assess the security situation.

 

 

  1. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Stay up to date with applicable safety and security laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management, summarizing safety and security activities, incidents, and trends.
    • Assist in internal and external audits related to safety and security.

 

 

  1. Training and Awareness:
    • Develop and deliver regular safety and security training programs to promote awareness and compliance among employees.
    • Conduct regular safety and security briefings or meetings to communicate important updates and address concerns when needed.
    • Foster a safety and security culture by promoting best practices and encouraging employee involvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., security management, occupational health and safety, criminal justice) or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification in relevant safety and security disciplines (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Protection Professional) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in safety and security management, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting not less than 5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and security regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Must possess a strong desire and ability to provide a high level of customer service through engagement with others.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Skill in written communications including the ability to type accurate and detailed reports efficiently, recalling actions taken during emergencies and critical incidents.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with employees at all levels and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to use de-escalation strategies, trained control techniques, and the application of restraints as trained.
  • Ability to detect, locate, and report smoke, unusual odors, and running water which may indicate safety problems.
  • Proficiency in using security systems and software, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
  • Should have a valid driving license.

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate is expected to be physically fit and capable of handling physical tasks that may arise during the duties. This includes patrolling, visiting centers and project sites all over Lebanon, restraining individuals if necessary, and responding to emergencies.
  • May be required to perform emergency duties which require physical exertion such as: standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying up to 50lbs. and running.
