Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and assessment to identify potential small and micro enterprises according to preset program criteria.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with small and micro enterprises in designated Lebanese geographical regions.
  • Assess the needs of micro and small businesses and provide them with tailored support and guidance
  • Manage the grant component within our program, including developing grant applications including eligibility criteria, due diligence, reviewing applications, and distributing funds to eligible applicants.
  • Monitor the impact of our business interventions and liaise with management.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with small and micro enterprises, as well as with other stakeholders such as local concerned bodies, government agencies and civil society actors.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations with other organizations that could benefit the businesses in our program.
  • Collect, follow-up and analyze data on the impact of our program, and use this information to inform program development and improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in business development or a related field, with a proven track record of success in working with small and micro enterprises.
  • Knowledge of the small and micro enterprise landscape in Lebanon, including understanding of local markets, regulatory environment, and business support services
  • Experience in working with grant programs, including developing grant applications and reviewing grant proposals and conducting due diligence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong and inclusive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform program development and decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel locally and work in remote and peri-urban Lebanese Geographical locations.
