RFP 122621 - Intent to apply - Climate change consultancy

Mercy Corps is seeking to contract a climate change consultant that will serve as the technical arm of this initiative and that will accompany the team through the implementation being from March till June 2024. The Climate Change Consultant will play a role in providing specialized expertise and support to lead strategic mapping processes for local partners involved in climate change initiatives, as well as for donors investing in related climate projects. This multifaceted role encompasses facilitating partner consultations, prioritization of key climate threats, providing assistance in partner-led capacity building sessions, developing a comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CAP) through thorough engagement with local stakeholders, and supporting the partners in rolling out an impactful climate awareness campaign. By working closely with MCL staff, the consultant will ensure seamless alignment with global organizational strategy and objectives to effectively address country-specific challenges.
