Under Nafaal Project (Funded by Al Ghoureir Association) LOST is seeking to recruit an Oriental Pastry Trainer to provide training for the targeted beneficiaries in Taalabeya.
Job Description:
- Develop a comprehensive curriculum for oriental pastry training, covering traditional and modern techniques, ingredients, and recipes integral to oriental pastry craftsmanship.
- Create detailed lesson plans for each training session, clearly defining learning objectives and incorporating hands-on practice, demonstrations, and theoretical instruction.
- Assist in preparing training materials, including recipes, ingredient lists, and equipment, ensuring they reflect the rich diversity of oriental pastry traditions and flavors.
- Conduct interactive and engaging training sessions on oriental pastry techniques, emphasizing precision, creativity, and cultural significance in pastry making.
- Employ diverse teaching methods such as lectures, demonstrations, tastings, and group projects to accommodate varied learning styles and skill levels among participants.
- Monitor participants' progress and techniques throughout the training program, offering personalized feedback and guidance to foster their growth as pastry chefs.
- Assess participants' proficiency in oriental pastry making through practical assessments, tastings, and written evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and participant performance to track progress and assess the effectiveness of the pastry training program.
- Equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create authentic oriental pastries, promoting and honoring cultural heritage through culinary excellence.
Requirements:
- Degree / Certificates in related field
- 5 years of experience is a must
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with team members
- Ability to show a positive and collaborative approach toward diversity
- Flexibility and ability to deal with cultural differences
- Fluency in English and Arabic
