Call for Participation in a focus group discussion on access to healthcare among minorities/vulnerable and indigenous people in Lebanon

If you are a member of a minority community in Lebanon or you have established experience of working in the field of public health, health provision and/or human rights, and would like to share your thoughts on key barriers in accessing healthcare services by minorities and indigenous people, then this research study is for you!

We would like to invite you to take part in a focus group discussion (or interview) for a research study on access to healthcare services among minorities and indigenous people in MENA region (Lebanon). 

We are interested in all minorities across Lebanon, and mainly focusing on Baha'is, Syrian refugees (including Yazidis), Sudanese refugees, and migrant workers. 

Objectives:
The main objectives of this project are to:

  • conduct evidence-based research on access to healthcare services among minorities and indigenous people, 
  • identify barriers as well as any good practices which are being implemented in the region, and
  • promote an equal access to healthcare.    

Through this research study, you will be able to share your thoughts and experiences, which will be used to analyse the availability, affordability, accessibility, adequacy and appropriateness of health services available for minorities. The research findings will be distributed widely at national, regional and international levels and facilitate public engagement and knowledge transfer. This will hopefully lead to promotion of promote an equal access to healthcare.

This research is implemented by Minority Rights Group International . Participation is entirely voluntary. You can participate anonymously.
