We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our non-profit organization as a part-time Executive Director Intern. In this role, you will receive inductive training from the president to oversee the operations, decision-making, and strategic direction of our 2-3 ongoing projects. Furthermore, you will receive training that fits your needs whenever applicable. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in non-profit leadership, develop essential management skills, and make a meaningful impact on our organization's mission and growth.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the overall management and coordination of the organization's operations, projects, and initiatives

Help enforce the organization's policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency

Participate in and lead meetings with the management team to discuss progress, challenges, and strategic decisions

Serve as the primary representative of the organization, fostering relationships with donors, partners, key stakeholders, and the broader community

Develop and implement a gender-sensitive approach to the organization's work, with a strong understanding of the Lebanese-Sidonian context and its influence on human rights, youth, and children

Stay up-to-date on environmental issues, policies, and advocacy, and incorporate these considerations into the organization's strategies

Contribute to the organization's long-term planning and growth, offering strategic insights and recommendations

Demonstrate a strong commitment to the organization's core values of equality, social justice, integrity, participation, and inclusion

Provide support and guidance to the organization's team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., non-profit management, public administration, international affairs, social sciences)

Demonstrated leadership experience, with a strong understanding of non-profit operations and governance

Excellent management, communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills

Ability to think strategically and drive organizational growth and impact

Commitment to the organization's values of equality, social justice, integrity, participation, and inclusion

Strong understanding of environmental issues, policies, and advocacy

Knowledge of the Lebanese Sidonian context and its influence on human rights, youth, and children

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experience with project management tools

Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
