Program Manager - Swedish Red Cross (SRC)

The position is part of SRC’s International Department, Middle East and North Africa Unit (MENA). The PM reports directly to the Lebanon Country Representative (based in Beirut).
The PM works closely with SRC’s regional finance team as well as other relevant SRC staff.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Program Management

• In close collaboration with respective National Society counterpart as well as SRCs technical team develop and process the agreed SRC supported projects
• Undertake Program Management responsibility for the SRC funded projects (Planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting).
• With support from SRC financial team be responsible for financial control and follow up of projects
• Support LRC and PRCS-L in managing and coordinating project activities (planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation as well as financial monitoring)
• Coordinate the technical support to LRC and PRCS-L provided from the SRC headquarter.
• Ensure compliance with back-donor requirements and agreements including procurement, communication, audit, etc.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the Country Representative in line with the overall objective with the SRC presence in Lebanon

Representation and Communication

• Support the Country Representative in its donor relations and fundraising efforts.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the SRC networks and partnerships in Lebanon.
• Support the Country Representative to maintain a continuous dialogue with the LRC and PRCS-L management about projects’ achievements and challenges as well as the wider cooperation with SRC
• Support the Country Representative, with the collaboration with other PNS with the purpose of optimizing technical and financial resources
• When warrant, liaise closely with SRC’s country office in Ramallah on current and future joint programs.
• On request from the Country Representative respond to requests for information from the SRC headquarters

Experience

5 years of experience in a similar role (Required)

Experience in Programme Management and financial management (Required)

Experience of writing comprehensive narrative proposals and reports (Required)

Experience of working for a humanitarian organization (Required)

Previous RCRC Movement experience is a strong asset (Preferred) 

Experience in managing EU grants, applications, programs (Preferred) 

Experience of WASH programs and/or Health programs (Preferred) 

Knowledge, Skills and Language

Strong analytical, diplomatic and negotiation skills (Required)
 
Strong programme management skills, including a track record of programme management in Lebanon (Required)
 
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and a proven ability to prioritize and effectively multi-task (Required)

Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Required)
 
Fluently spoken and written in Arabic and English (Required)

Good command of another IFRC official language (French, Spanish) (Preferred)
