The Role: 

We are seeking a Senior Program Associate to provide program and operations support, assist with program operations and improvement, and assist in ensuring project efficiency and compliance.  This includes:

- Gathering information and preparing internal and external reports as per IWPR and donor requirements.

- Tracking reporting requirements and deadlines of program reports and ensuring that program focal points are reminded of those deadlines.

- Monitoring program deliverables and outputs to ensure compliance with grant obligations.

- Ensuring that verifications of sub-recipients and program are collected and filed on a monthly basis.

- Conducting field visits (field or virtual) to ensure proper implementation of programs as per M&E plan and in coordination with the project lead.

- Supporting the program team to maintain records and documentation of grants and ensure that these documents are saved in the award IWPR filing system.

- Supporting the issuance of Expressions of Interest and help grantees finalize grants packages in coordination with the project lead.

- Supporting the small grants process and Technical Grants Review Committee to ensure selected grants meet the selection criteria and to provide support in the write up of the justification.

- Coordinating with the Operations Manager, Finance Manager and project leads to ensure on-time invoicing and submission of reports by sub-recipients in coordination with program lead.

- Supporting the pre-award capacity assessments and ensuring it is done within IWPR policy and on time.

- Undertaking and ensuring that whenever required vetting and due diligence process requirements are implemented in coordination with office departments and as per IWPR and donor requirements.

- Being the focal point for program data management. Conducting monthly audits of the award files and ensuring that relevant documentation is on file.

- Writing important Minutes of Meetings and saving them on the IWPR drive in the relevant folders.

- Supporting program and operations whenever needed.

- Ensuring compliance with IWPR and donor policies.

- Undertake other duties as requested by the supervisor.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Working knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, program and operations.

- Ability to write effective and timely program reports.

- Proficiency in standard word and excel processing software.

- Shows great attention to detail.

- Uses initiative and finds creative solutions to challenges.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work with a range of people from different backgrounds and cultures in an open-minded, non-dogmatic manner.

- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.

- Ability to work in Lebanon without a visa and to travel in the region.

- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.

- Willingness to work out of office hours when necessary.

 

Education and/or Experience Requirements: 

- University degree in a related field from an accredited institution.

- 1-3 years of experience working in a field-based NGO in project implementation.

- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
