Position:              Short Term Assignment Project Manager

Contract:             Full-time

Period:                 1st of July 2023 till end of August 2023

Location:             Beirut

Salary range:     $1,600 monthly including transportation and phone allowance

Brief Description

The initiative in partneship with INJAZ Lebanon aims to mobilize 60 youth volunteers to provide essential technical assistance to the Ministry of Finance in Lebanon and capacitate over 100 key personnel staff (including IT personnel and tax inspectors and auditors) in the Ministry of Finance to perform emergency core functions supporting tax revenue mobilization

The Project Manager will work closely with the Finance & Admin Department, the quality assurance officer and the donor’s focal point. He/She will be responsible to follow up on the implementation of this initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Follow up with the volunteers, IT director, and tax inspectors and auditors
  • Control the work assigned to volunteers and other parties
  • Coordinate with the donor’s focal point for the documents needed to be submitted to the Finance & Admin Department in coordination with the quality assurance officer
  • Control attendance sheets of the beneficiaries and all required supporting documents before the submission to the FAD - Online and hardcopies
  • Responsible for the follow up with the quality assurance officer regarding all supporting documents’ control and collection
  • Coordinate with the FAD regarding the payments issuance
  • Inform the beneficiaries once their transportation payments are executed
  • Perform spot check visits in coordination with the FAD and the the donor’s focal point to the MOF institutions and prepare visits report accordingly
  • Report any issue or concern to the donor’s focal point while looping the FAD related to the beneficiaries
  • Work on the quotations’ requests
  • Lead on collecting the quotations needed for the project and communicate with suppliers
  • Work on and update the progress report of the project
  • Attend team meetings
  • Undertake other related duties, as assigned or requested by the FAD or the quality assurance officer

Position Qualifications:

Required:            

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science, Developmental Studies, Public Administration or another relevant field 
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in education, business or social sector
  • Sincere interest in the mission of INJAZ Lebanon
  • Strong relationship-building
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Highly organized and motivated, ability to multitask in a timely manner, team player
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic
  • Motorized
