Dermatologist for Medical Mobile Unit in Informal Tent Settlements

The MMU Doctor position operates under the authority of the humedica Health Coordinator. The MMU doctor will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with different communicable diseases in the Syrian refugee informal settlements.
MAIN DUITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Undertakes regular visits to Syrian refugee informal tented settlements assigned by humedica according to the need in order to examine, treat and follow up on patients referred to him/her;
- Follows up to ensure that equipment and supplies are maintained and techniques are performed in accordance with standard Agency procedures;
- Maintains electronical records of patients seen in the mobile medical unit and provides statistical data and relevant information on such patients to the Health Coordinator;
- Maintains an effective system of referral to, and feed-back from, contracted and government hospitals treating refugee patients;
- Provides patients with relavent health information and makes sure patients are able to follow the treatment
- Applies excellent hygienic practices (disinfection, sterilization, wearing PPEs)
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Starting date: As soon as possible
- Working hours: 8:30 am– 5:00 pm, one-hour lunch break
- Salary: $100 per working day
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- A university degree in dermatology from a university or medical school
- A valid governmental licence to practice medicine in the country of duty station
- A minimum of two years’ experience
- Previous experience working with NGOs is a plus
- Demonstrate flexible availability
- Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic
- Leadership ability and previous training and teaching experience to accommodate varying needs
- Possession of a driving license valid in the country of duty station
- High ethical standards
- Ability and willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Flexibility, reliability and able to work under stress
