Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of education activities in designated project locations.
- Ensure that all educational activities align with project goals and comply with relevant national and international standards.
- Support the development and adaptation of curriculum and teaching materials, ensuring relevance to the target audience.
- Coordinate the delivery of remedial and alternative education programs, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all students.
- Supervise and support teachers, facilitators, and other education staff in implementing high-quality teaching practices.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor educational activities and provide technical support.
- Collect and analyse data on program implementation and learning outcomes to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Assist in preparing progress reports, success stories, and evaluation summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with partners, schools, and local authorities to ensure the smooth implementation of education activities.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops for teachers and facilitators as needed.
- Represent the project in education-related meetings, workshops, and coordination forums.
- Maintain accurate records of program activities, beneficiaries, and resources.
- Assist in budget tracking and resource allocation to ensure effective use of funds.
- Support the Project Manager in preparing and presenting periodic reports to donors and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s degree is preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in education project implementation, preferably in emergency or development settings.
- Familiarity with national and international education policies and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and pedagogy.
- Experience in teacher training and capacity-building programs.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office Suite and relevant educational software).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong organizational, Reporting and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging environments.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required.
- Travel within the country during the emergency crises (North Bekaa, Tripoli, Beirut)
