The present position is composed of two parts, the first one is to act as a liaision officer for soon to begin Ayounkon III Project, an already established project for eye health that is being implemented by Amel Association, ARCS, Beirut Eye and ENT Specialist Hospital and GENEAH. The second part consists of supporting the development of GENEAH as a newly established local association.
Responsibilities
- Liaising and coordinate with:
- Amel Health Coordinator and Field Coordinator as to collect patients forms and referral to the second phase
- ARCS Project manager
- BESH hospital in Beirut as to schedule the surgery interventions
- The patients as to inform them on the schedule of the pre-operation screenings and surgeries, organize their transportation supervising them throughout the surgery/screening days
- Relevant focal points and local authorities
- Collecting all the needed data and/or information related to the project
- Back the logistics related to the field and the office needs (e.g. goods purchasing, utilities payment, cars and office premises maintenance, etc.)
- Support in translation for ARCS Project Manager and any other international staff
- Participation in project related meetings
- Searching and applying for new projects in cooperation with the Board of GENEAH
- Managing social media and internet presence
- Establish code of conduct and procedures for GENEAH
- Documenting of project and writing of reports
- Update on the NGO sector and public relations
- Representation in meetings
- Regular update to the Board of GENEAH
- Administrative work in cooperation with the Board of GENEAH
- Every other duties as may be assigned by the Board of GENEAH and agreed upon

Ability to work under pressure and to handle several tasks at the same time
Ability to work in a team and independently
Empathy for patients
Excellent communication skills in the Arabic and the English language
Good IT skills (Excel, social media, etc.)
