Training for Children's Summer Camp Animators

Our Organisation

forumZFD (forum Civil Peace Service) provides training and project support in Germany and abroad. With its members, it advocates the renunciation of violence-based policies, reinforcement of civilian resources in the state and society and democratic participation of all social, ethnic and religious groups.

forumZFD currently has more than 80 employees working in 14 locations in Germany, the Middle East, the Western Balkans, and South-East Asia. forumZFD has been working in Lebanon since 2009.

The Lebanon-team consists of 18 staff members working in the programme areas of Community Mobilising, Dealing with the Past and Capacity Development.

In the field of Capacity Development forumZFD supports conflict transformation and peace-building projects and enhances the capability of NGOs to work in a conflict sensitive manner through training and mentoring. The portfolio of trainings forumZFD developed and implemented with partner organisations includes a broad variety of conflict transformation tools and methods such as Reflecting on Peace Practice (RPP), Conflict Analysis, Mediation and 'Do no Harm', just to name a few.

إذا كنتم جمعية تنظم دوريا مخيمات أطفال صيفية وانشطة لاصفية، وتبحثون عن طرق جديدة وابداعية للعمل مع الأطفال، وترغبون بتدريب فريق العمل لديكم وتمكينه، تعلن جمعية منتدى خدمة السلام المدنية عن استعدادها لتدريب منشّطين من جمعيّات مهتمة وتقوم بتنفيذ أنشطة صيفية تربوية وذلك للمساهمة في نشر دليل "حولي وحواليّي" للأنشطة الصيفية من خلال ورشة عمل تدريبية لمدة 5 أيام من 10 ولغاية 14 حزيران 2019.  

يهدف الدليل الى تمكين منشطي مخيمات الأطفال الصيفية من كل ما يحتاجوه لتنظيم نشاط صيفي ناجح للأطفال من الفئة العمرية 8 – 12. يتضمن الدليل محاور تكفي لتنظيم نشاط يمتد على مدة 7 أسابيع، يبدا من اكتشاف الذات، تعارف الأطفال إلى بعضهم البعض، ثم إلى محيطهم وكيفية التعامل مع النزاع وتحويله. ويتمّ تعزيز هذه المحاور بإعتماد أساليب التعلم النشط من ألعاب داخلية وخارجية وأغاني، وكل ذلك تحت مظلّة بناء السلام. يقدم الدليل أيضا نصائح للتنشيط الجيد ونماذج لبرامج مخيمات أطفال صيفية.

دليل "حولي وحواليي" هو مشروع بين جمعية منتدى خدمة السلام المدنية وشركة خطوات (استشارات للتغيير). أشرف على الدليل خبراء تربويين وحقوقيين وفي مجال تحويل النزاع بالإضافة الى اننا اعتمدنا على خبرة بعض مؤسسات المجتمع المدني في لبنان.

The Training

“When you think about how to spend leisure time it becomes a useful time”

Are you an organization that regularly carries out educational summer activities for children for 3 to 7 weeks? Are you looking for innovative ways to facilitate your activities? Do you work with motivated staff and would like to have them trained?

Forum Civil Peace Service would like to offer interested organizations the possibility to get to know its new summer activities toolkit “Hawli w Hawalaye” (About and Around me) through a five-day training workshop for animators from 10 to 14 June. The toolkit is designed to equip summer camp animators with everything that is necessary to organize successful educational summer camps for children between the ages of 8 to 12. It contains exercises that can cover up to 7 weeks of activity ranging from a first getting to know each other to conflict transformation skills to community initiatives conveyed through games and songs. The kit furthermore offers practical tips to animators for implementing the content, examples for agendas and recommendations for building an engaging program.

The toolkit is a joint effort of STEPS and forumZFD. It is prepared by educational experts and builds on a rich variety of civil society experiences in Lebanon. The training will be held in Arabic.
