Audit Firm/ Consultant

Fe-Male is looking for a qualified audit consultant/ firm to conduct auditing for one of its projects. The audit shall be carried out in accordance with international audit standards (ISA) issued by IAASB. In addition, an assignment according to International Standards on Related Services (ISRS) 4400 shall be carried out. The audit and the additional assignment shall be carried out by an external, independent and qualified auditor.

The report should include the audit opinion on the financial statement, drawn up in accordance with auditing Standard/ ISA 800/805, and responsible for drawing up a report of findings, in accordance with auditing Standard/ ISRS 4400.

The auditor will:

1. Comply with the audit protocol suggested by the donor;
2. Make sure that the audit will be conducted according to generally accepted international audit standards and will include all tests and checks that the auditor considers necessary to give an opinion;
3. Pay particular attention to the funds received to make sure they were used in accordance with the grant contract, and that all goods and services purchased under the project have been acquired in accordance with applicable procurement and tender procedures;
4. The auditor will ensure that the project accounts have been prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards and present fairly the financial position of the project;
5. Identify specific deficiencies and areas of weakness in systems and internal controls and make recommendations to address them in a letter for the management;
6. Assess whether the financial commitments entered into compliance with the requirements of the financing agreement and will submit his/her comments, if any, on the appropriateness of the pertinent internal controls;
7. Submit the final audit report and management letter in the English language;
8. Carry out the audit work at the offices of Fe-Male located in Beirut, Lebanon or remotely based on the circumstances;
9. Submit (3) original copies of the Audit Report appended to the Financial Statements along with the reports to the attention of the Executive Director and Finance Coordinator;
10. Submit a management letter in accordance with the scope of work described here to be directed to the attention of the ED and board;
11. Finalize the auditing process within 1 month from the date of signing the contract.
