Trainer provider agency/expert_ EcoNorth Project

  1. Objective

The project aims to enhance environmental health in Lebanon by promoting sustainable agricultural practices and income generation through circular economy principles. It seeks to educate communities in North Lebanon on the ecological use of natural resources and build resilient livelihoods for vulnerable populations. Additionally, the project focuses on training teachers to raise awareness among children about climate change and sustainable agriculture. Through these efforts, the project supports long-term environmental well-being and economic stability in the region.

 

Fair Trade Lebanon is looking for a Trainers’ provider agency or individual trainers to provide training for the above-detailed project.

 

  1. Training Topics

The below topics should be developed following Climate Change, and Sustainable Agriculture criteria however they are subject to change according to needs assessment and curriculum development results.

Individual trainers’ applicants can apply for specific topics among the below.

  • Soil health
  • Good agricultural practices (GAP)
  • Water management
  • Green building
  • Regenerative agriculture and innovative agricultural practices to mitigate climate change

FTL will provide the venue and refreshments.

 

  1. Outcomes

The following outcomes are what the activity aims to achieve within the above-mentioned topics for the required training sessions:

  • 36  sessions, 6 topics (6 groups of 20 participants)

The training will be given in the North region. Exact location is to be determined later on.

The training topics will be confirmed following the needs assessment.

 

  1. Deliverables
  • Develop the curriculum for the training
  • Conduct a total of 36 training sessions on the listed topics above.
  • Assess and analyse beneficiary performance and topic understanding through relevant pre- and Post tests.
  • Submit timely pre and post-training reports for each training given.
  • Submit training and activity reports.

 

  1. Qualifications
  • University degree in agriculture or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a trainer.
  • Proven knowledge of Fair-Trade principles.
  • Proven presentation skills.
  • Drives results.

 

  1. Skills
  • Adheres to FTL values.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Engaged in developing self and others.
  • High degree of self-motivation.
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills.
  • Good time management.
  • Organized and able to create multiple timelines and schedules.
  • Good knowledge of Arabic and English.

 

  1. Company qualification

The company must have the following valid legal documents:

  • Commercial Circular
  • Fiscal Certificate of Incorporation at the Ministry of Finance
  • VAT Certificate of Registration
  • ID of company’s authorized representative(s)

 

  1. Payment terms
  • Payment will be made within 15 to 20 business days after last delivery and submission of final invoice.
  • Payments will be made through bank cheques
  • All applicable taxes will be deducted from the Consultant’s fees unless the Consultant is registered with the Ministry of Finance.
