Media and Communication Volunteer

The Communications and Media Volunteers will be responsible for Nabaa and Manara network visual content and social media channels and will work to promote the organization and Network brand among external audiences. The Communications and Media Officer will help partners, children and colleagues to take advantage of technology in order to advance child rights across platforms and in their daily lives.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
CONTENT:
- Produce social media content from the field, including photos and short videos that
showcase Nabaa and Manara Network operational work.
- Develop high impact social media content, including graphics, videos and other multimedia formats that effectively informs and engages external audience and supports media and advocacy campaigns.
- Monitor and moderate comments on social media posts, intervening as appropriate to answer questions and guide the conversation.
BRANDING AND VISIBILITY:
- Maintains Manara network and Nabaa branding identity and ensures their visibility policy applies across all programmes in the field, in coordination with field teams;
- Develops branded products, including banners, flyers, booklets and other items intended for external use;
- Enhancing the visibility of MANARA network and Nabaa in exhibitions and events through communication with partners and visual media.
SOCIAL MEDIA:
- Manages and creates engaging, strategic content for Nabaa and Manara Network social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube) promoting Nabaa and Manara Network work, campaigns and advocacy objectives;
- Comes up with engagement strategies to increase audience interaction and reach targeted
groups based on campaign targets;
- Delivers social media training for beneficiaries based on requests and programme aims;
CAPACITY BUILDING:
- Builds Nabaa colleague’s and Manara partners’ capacity on using social media for campaigns and advocacy purposes to advance child rights;
