Job Profile

ARequired Qualifications, Competencies and Knowledge

Formal Education

  •  Master’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Development, Gender Studies, or a related field

 

Experience

  • 5 years of working experience in technical assistance projects preferably EU-Funded
  • 3 to 5 years proven experience gender related field such as : women's economic empowerment or in supporting civil society and institutional actors working on entrepreneurship.
  • Very good understanding of the Lebanese context regarding gender equality
  • Experience in collaborating effectively with local and institutional partners, government representatives, academic research institutions and civil society organisations (CSOs);
  • Good command of programme and project management life cycle including strategic planning, development, management, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Working experience with an international organisation
  • Working experience with GIZ administrative system and regulation is considered an advantage

 

Other Qualifications

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic
  • Knowledge of French is considered an advantage

B.        Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will be responsible to:

  • Provide technical coordination with project team members
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, organize meetings, workshops, and networking events to foster collaboration.
  • Document project activities, monitor progress and indicators, and contribute to the development of reporting and monitoring tools.

C.  Tasks
Stakeholder Engagement and Networking

  • Ensure close and regular relations with relevant stakeholders, meet and network with stakeholders.
  • Initiate regular meetings, workshops, and dialogues with MoSA, MoE, Ecosoc Lebanon, Parliament representatives, and private sector.
  • Coordinate and support the organization of networking events, such as forums, to facilitate interaction and knowledge sharing between stakeholders.
  • Ensure the moderation and coordination of networking activities, workshops, and trainings.
  • Document insights and outcomes from networking activities and disseminate them to project stakeholders to inform future collaboration and decision-making.
  • Ensure project, stakeholders, and EU visibility.

Reporting, Monitoring, and Knowledge Management

  • Document meetings, workshops, and event participation with MoM update stakeholder contact details in Excel sheets, and record event information and visibility activities in designated folders for monitoring purposes.
  • Document event attendance, update stakeholder contacts details, and record event information for monitoring and management purposes.
  • With the support of the Key Experts, establish reporting and monitoring tools.
  • Contribute quarterly to the MEAL System and indicators, including reviewing the logical framework if needed.
  • Monitor project activities, output, progress, indicators, and risks.
  • Operate a knowledge capitalization and sharing system.
  • Contribute and coordinate the drafting of the "Inception Report," Interim Report, and Final Report with input from the Key experts

Coordination and Technical Support

  • Conduct in-depth analysis, organize planning workshops, and obtain necessary approvals for project implementation.
  • Ensure the technical coordination with Expertise France Technical Team.
  • Support the Key Experts in monitoring the performance of Non-Key Experts (NKEs).
  • Coordinate the organization of events (such as networking events, launch and closing events).

 

 

 

Description of the project

 

The overall objective of the action, with a budget of EUR 6,000,000, is to promote the advancement and empowerment of women for effective realization of gender equality. The project is funded by the European Union. The specific objectives of the project are:

 

SO1. Increase women’s leadership and participation in political and public sphere.

 

SO2. Foster an enabling environment for better engagement of women in the workforce.

 

SO3. Enhance key legislative reform and measures that protect women from all forms of violence.

 

WE-HUB Project will be implemented by Expertise France and GIZ, as follows:

 

Expertise France will be in charge of components 1 and 3 and responsible for the overall coordination of the project and donor reporting. GIZ will be in charge of component 2.
