Research Assistant

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Summarize newspapers articles in Arabic
- Transcribe interviews conducted in Arabic
- Data entry and coding of newspapers in Arabic
- Support in data management and analysis
- Support in writing reports and academic papers
- Provide logistical support with project’s activities
- Support in evaluating various projects’ activities
- Work with a strict framework of research ethics and confidentiality.
The Research Assistant will report on the above activities to the Senior researcher and support all CLS team members.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of social sciences, history, political science.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a research environment.
- Desirable: knowledge and experience in archival research, transcription and data entry
- Research experience in collecting and analyzing quantitative & qualitative methodology and data management
- Experience in supporting with writing up full research reports.
- Proof of good writing skills and publications
- Experience with presenting research results
- Proficiency in Arabic and English languages
- Creativity and ability to contribute ideas to the projects
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
