Logistics and Procurement officer

1. Premise

CELIM is an Italian NGO working in Lebanon since 2014, implementing projects in rural development, waste management, and renewable energies.

2. Terms of Reference

Under the overall supervision of the Operations Manager, the Logistics and Procurement officer will support the implementation of CELIM’s interventions in Lebanon, specifically in Beirut and the District of Hasbaya.

The Logistics officer oversees ensures that proper logistic and procurement policies and procedures are followed at all levels.

He/She will accomplish below responsibilities and tasks:

• To ensure that all offices and duty stations are in compliance with safety and security procedures.
• To implement procurement operations according to the Organization’s policies and procedures; to collect quotations and guarantee the proper storage of all relevant documents and materials.
• To ensure that all offices and duty stations respect the logistic procedures in place, keep accurate stock-cards, stock count and have necessary level of security stocks.
• To ensure that all vehicles used by the Organization follow legal and safety regulations, are covered by insurance, and are utilized in conformity with the Organization’s mission and operations.
• To inform the supervisor of any necessary extraordinary maintenance works needed and be the first contact for workers.
• To maintain the Organization’s supply chain and to abide by the procurement Code of Conduct.

Technical Competencies and Experience Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in logistics and procurement.
• Working experience with NGOs.
• A positive attitude and willingness to adaptively work with partners in complex environments.
• Fluency in English required.
• Familiarity with the area of intervention is preferred.
