  • Ensure regular and effective communication between the supported children and their sponsors.
  • Follow around 300 DSP children and their families in their pathway within the program through regular home visits, phone calls, school visits etc.
  • Identify the social/educational/financial/medical needs of each supported DSP child under the SW’s area of responsibility and his/her family and set clear intervention plans with specific objectives and response actions.
  • Make at least 2 home visits per year to establish and maintain quality relationship with each DSP supported child and his/her family, while monitoring their needs and progress
  • Regularly update the file of each DSP child under the SW’s area of responsibility and the child’s intervention plan
  • Identify new children to be included in DSP program and prepare all related documentation
  • Identify children that are not in need/eligible anymore for DSP and prepare all the documentation related to the closure of the support.
  • Ensure that correct and effective communications are exchanged between each supported DSP child under the SW’s area of responsibility and his/her Italian sponsor at least twice a year, facilitating the preparation of letters and the exchange of drawings, gifts or others.
