Outreach manager

Terms of Reference

 

The outreach manager is responsible for  the  implementation  of  outreach  activities  within  the  projects  and  via  partners,  plus  providing  timely  and  relevant  information  to project stakeholders. This entails close communication with all involved in outreach design and coordination (M&E Manager, Data Base Manager, Program Managers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators and field staff).

Critical task for the Outreach manager is ensuring outreach System is implemented effectively within the organization and by the key stakeholders, namely the primary stakeholders and implementing partners.

Accountability:

  • M&E Manager

Functions:

  • Set up an operational framework and an annual strategy (with tools to be used to implement outreach activities) and provide the methodology of work
  • Coordinate projects outreach and ensure area division does not overlap
  • Organize training on the outreach methodology and capacity building
  • Update the outreach manual and SOP
  • Elaborate outreach methodology guidelines to be used on the field
  • Monitor and supervise the outreach activities deployed on the field (communication with and supervision of outreach coordinator)
  • Monitor and supervise liaison with community municipalities for the success of the outreach activities (communication with and supervision of outreach coordinator)
  • Conduct monthly a meeting with M&E manager to monitor progress of the targets and data collection analysis and regional outreach meeting
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative report to projects on the outreach activities and targets
  • Conduct monthly meeting with the outreach coordinators to ensure tackling challenges faced on field, as well as the follow up on the monthly objectives’ achievements
  • Attend community and agency meeting in order to be updated on the partners activities

 

 

Qualifications:

  • At least hold a Bachelor degree in relevant field like Public health, sociology, Demography and statistics or equivalent field experience.
  • Have at least two years’ work experience in similar position.
  • Formal training in monitoring and evaluation or outreach will be an added advantage
  • Competency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Knowledge in the livelihood and education sector

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of working with local Government bodies and community.
  • Skill in organizing work of self and others.
  • Good  communication  and  inter-personal  skills,  team  player,  able  to  work  under  minimal  supervision.
  • Good analytical and IT skills 
  • Proficient with Microsoft office package
  • Fluency in English and Arabic. French and Italian are an asset.
